GLASS INFORMATION
The Overhead Glazing rooflights product range incorporates double glazed safety glass units that are manufactured to BS EN 1279 – Insulating glass units and BS EN12150 – Thermally toughened soda lime silicate safety glass. The double glazed units in every rooflight we produce have a centre pane U value of 1.1W/m2K.
Our structurally bonded rooflight products incorporate double glazed units that feature three thermal components namely a low E coating, an argon gas cavity and a perimeter manufactured with a warm edge spacer bar.

What if I require a rooflight outside of the sizes quoted on our web page. In most circumstances we can produce the required size. For a price and further information, please do not hesitate to contact Overhead Glazing.
All our rooflights with the exception of modular, will arrive fully assembled. The rooflight will be suitably packaged. Weights are provided on every quotation and order acknowledgement. Please ensure you have sufficient labour resources / equipment on site to offload your rooflight order from our delivery vehicle as we do not offload.
The rooflight is structural bonded and therefore can be lifted by the perimeter frame or the glass (using suitable glass sucker or craneage).
Yes. Overhead Glazing standard specification is TOUGHENED Low E Safety Glass. ALL our rooflights are supplied with two panes of heat soak tested glass as standard. This increased specification reduces the chances of spontaneous breakage due to Nickel Sulphide inclusions.
We have purposely designed our rooflight products with our customers in mind and therefore they are very easy to install. They do not require a specialist to install and our warranty is not affected if installed by another party.
Please refer to the installation manual in the technical section for full details. The installation process, for a reasonably competent DIY person should take two-three hours from arriving on site.
