Description
Our double glazed modular rooflight is designed in a modern style for both flat and pitched roofs.
It features structural silicone design, high performance laminated inner pane and the option to add solar control to reduce solar glare and provide maximum comfort.
Unlike some rooflights in the market where the glass edge is exposed and easily damaged, our rooflights are enclosed in a thermally broken aluminium frame, reducing the risk of breakage and leaks, while offering exceptional thermal performance.
Glass Safety
- The inner pane of your Modular Rooflight units is made with high-performance heat-strengthened glass; or toughened, laminated glass.
- This standard offering ensures that your rooflights are not only durable but also provide added security and peace of mind.
- Our toughened glass is heat-soak tested to BS EN 14179-1:2016. This reduces spontaneous glass breakage by 99%.
Load Design
We have designed all our structural Modular Rooflight to pass Wind and Snow Loads of up to 0.9kN/m2.
This ensures the safety and longevity of your rooflight, with optimal efficiency in cost.
Glass Specification
Our double glazed units are made up of the following specifications:
Glass (Outer): 6mm Toughened + Heat Soaked Tested
Cavity: Black Warm Edge – Argon – Silicone Sealed Unit (Swisspacer)
Glass (Inner): 10.5mm or 13.5mm High Performance Laminated Inner pane
Frame: Thermally broken aluminium frame
Load Design: Wind 1.0kn2 / Snow 0.9kn2
Choosing the correct rooflight size
When ordering your rooflight, you must select the size based on your external upstand dimensions.
Our sizes include a 20mm tolerance built-in, so the actual rooflight size will be 1040x1040mm.
If you have any doubts or need assistance choosing the right size, our friendly team is available to help answer your questions.
Benefits of a framed rooflight
While framed skylights may have a higher upfront cost due to their construction and energy efficiency features, they tend to be more cost-effective in the long run.
- The sleek design of the fixed rooflight includes a slim powder-coated frame and a flush glass panel that helps maximise the amount of natural light entering the room.
- The laminated glass overhead protection prevents glass from falling through when broken, ensuring safety for those below the rooflight and protecting furniture from damage.
- This customisable solution eliminates the difficulties of transporting and installing single-piece rooflights in small spaces.
- By dividing larger rooflight designs into modular parts, it becomes easier and more cost-effective to fabricate, transport, and install them.
